Hasty generalization

Drawing a broad conclusion from too few or unrepresentative cases.

A hasty generalization treats limited observations as sufficient evidence for a claim about a larger group or pattern. The correction is to examine sample size, selection, variability, and whether counterexamples were overlooked.
