Course description
Reasoning becomes practical when it helps us choose what to do. This course begins with defining a problem and ends with reviewing the result of a decision. You will learn to separate symptoms from causes, break a problem into useful parts, compare realistic alternatives, and make tradeoffs explicit. Mental models such as bottlenecks and feedback loops help explain how changes affect a wider process. Small trials and decision records then provide a way to learn without pretending that every outcome can be predicted.
